The Inside Scoop on STX Cell 3 Shoulder Pads
These Cell 3 shoulder pads were completely re-engineered this year and the results are awesome !! Removable arm pieces and a new softer exo-skeleton makes these pads some of the most comfortable and protective you can get. One feature that we really liked on this and the liner was that the rib straps actually have some slim new padding that adds some rib protection without any bulk. They also slimmed down the chest plate a bit but added a low profile sternum protector. New flex points put the hinges in all the right spots up through the shoulder We are rating these five out of five stars for value protection and comfort !!

Some players prefer a more lightweight and low profile lacrosse shoulder pad. A good rule of thumb are attackmen want the highest protection possible to withstand those nasty slashes. Whereas defenseman want a lightweight and mobile lax liner or speed pad to easily maneuver. And lastly, middies tend to be in the middle and can depend on if you play offense or defense! And some laxers prefer to have added protection and will use lacrosse rib pads as well!
